ABOUT JULIE TOLLU- ROUSSEL, LCSW
A place to be real, explore what’s beneath the surface, and start making meaningful change.
I’m a a French and American therapist based in Texas, offering virtual sessions across Texas.
I specialize in therapy for couple and marital problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD.
As a mother of two, I understand how challenging it can be to find time for yourself while balancing work and family life.
I truly believe that everyone has the potential for growth, healing, and meaningful change, no matter what obstacles they may face. My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences openly.
I strongly believe in teamwork, and I know that client participation is key. I provide feedback and coping skills during sessions, focusing on each person’s needs to create a plan that works in the long run. Together, we work to recognize strengths, adjust thoughts and behaviors, and make positive, lasting changes!
It might seem like nothing can change. But that’s not true. You have more power than you think.

MY APPROACH:
I’m not here to let you stay on autopilot.
Our work together will spark insight—not because I’ll give you answers, but because I’m helping you reconnect with the ones you already have inside. My goal is to create some understanding and moments of clarity for you.
But awareness is just the beginning. Real growth happens when you start aligning your actions with the person you’re ready to become—and I’ll be here to challenge and support you every step of the way.
THERAPY WITH ME IS …
-
I believe that a strong connection between us is essential—especially since you’ll be sharing personal and sensitive experiences with me. I want you to feel safe and comfortable enough to open up at your own pace.
I will never pressure you to share anything before you’re ready.
And if at any point you feel I’m not the right fit for you, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I completely understand and will do my best to help you find a therapist who feels like the right match for your needs.
-
I won’t just sit back and nod at your problems. My goal is to challenge you—especially if I notice you’re stuck in a loop. I won’t keep our conversations surface-level, and I’ll always show up with honesty and authenticity. I bring my real self into the room so you can feel safe enough to do the same. Our work together is built on trust, mutual respect, and a genuine human connection—where you can feel truly seen, accepted, and supported for who you are.
-
If I notice you avoiding a topic or going in circles, I won’t hesitate to gently point it out. I’m not here to judge or shame you—my goal is to help you face these challenges so you can grow beyond them. It might not always feel easy or comfortable, but I promise to meet you with empathy, respect, and genuine care every step of the way.
-
I’m proud to offer a welcoming, safe, and supportive space for LGBTQIA+ clients. No matter your identity or journey, you’ll be accepted here without judgment. I’m committed to understanding your unique experiences and challenges, and to walking alongside you with respect, empathy, and affirmation as you explore your true self.
-
You may never be the person you were before everything changed—but you have the power to become someone you admire and truly want to be. That version of yourself isn’t about chasing some perfect ending or following what others expect. It comes from discovering what truly matters to you and living authentically by those values. Together, we’ll make sure your choices reflect what’s important to you—because that’s where real peace is found.
